Secondary Solar System
📌

What is solar planetary system?

Solar Planetary System is to be conceived beyond space and time. It encompasses many galaxies, stars, planets, planetary systems, moons, asteroid belts, and terrestrial bodies. Sun is the prime controller of the Solar System formed out of a giant rotating cloud (nebula) of gas and dust parties.

📌

Where is the Solar System located?

The solar system is located in the Milky Way's Orion star cluster. Only 15% of stars in the galaxy host planetary systems, and one of those stars is our own sun. Revolving around the sun are eight planets. The planets are divided into two categories based on their composition, terrestrial and Jovian.

📌

How many planetary systems are there?

Our solar system, with its eight planets orbiting a solitary Sun, feels familiar because it's where we live. But in the galaxy at large, planetary systems like ours are decidedly in the minority. More than half of all stars in the sky have one or more partners.

📌

How many extrasolar planetary systems are there?

Extrasolar planetary systems are ubiquitous in our galactic neighborhood and diverse in terms of numbers of hosted planets, orbital parameters, period ratios between neighboring planets, planet densities and masses, and stellar properties. Altogether, more than 500 different multiplanet systems are known to date.

📌

Are there other planets in our Solar System?

Humans have known for thousands of years about the existence of other planets in our own Solar System. The history of solar system astronomy stretches back across time, potentially to prehistoric cultures. For example, indigenous Australian cultures have long described the motion of the planets across the night sky.

📌

What are the characteristics of a secondary population?

The clustering and relatively steep SFD cumulative slope of −3.9 ± 0.2 (which is near the average slope common to secondary craters in the inner solar system) are hallmarks of a secondary population.
